If You're Alone for the Holidays, Watch This...

I’m always surprised at how much my business spikes in July. It has for the past four summers I’ve done this work.

I’ve been told that the opposite is true for many other professional cuddlers’ practices. They seem to think that it’s a time that they’re spending more time with family, going places, and getting out in the sun.

Many of the people that seek me out in July are usually the ones that are left behind among all the summer excitement. Even if they’re the ones having the summer fun, it’s not fulfilling completely and there’s something missing.

Among all of this, I’ve run into a lot of people that are alone for the holidays. When I ask how they feel about that, generally they say they’re fine, don’t worry about it, this happens every year. But I can’t help but wonder if they’re saying that so I don’t worry or feel bad for them. I know I did when I was alone for a holiday.
